How will the film help KC?
So what is this project’s value to our city? The main result of the film will be a significant upgrade of Kansas City’s image nationally. It also helps in other ways.
- It demonstrates to a national television audience how urban planning and private investment at a variety of levels can remake an American city.
- The Kansas City area will be seen by millions of viewers as being at the forefront of a renaissance in urban development on channels like PBS, Discovery, A&E, Learning Channel, Bravo, and History Channel.
- High-definition filming occured monthly for nearly four years, including interviews with planners, developers, architects, city leaders, engineers and contractors.
- Filming will tie the downtown projects to the history and diversity of the entire metropolitan region.
- It provides irreplaceable footage for the film’s funding partners and area economic development and tourism organizations.

"To see the kinds of redevelopment that is happening in Kansas City right now -- and to actually be a part of it -- and bring the experience that 360 Architecture has had in other cities to our own hometown is an unprecedented opportunity and something that I am incredibly passionate about."

- The raw footage will be used in myriad ways to promote and market the region, our explosive building boom and the metro area’s corporations, counties and communities.
- Funding organizations will be recognized in credits for all versions, and acknowledged at special showings throughout the metro.
To maximize public relations value to the city, the producers will offer the completed film to national and international cable and educational networks. Several of the producers’ award-winning documentaries have aired nationally on cable and/or public networks.
Plus, other major metropolitan areas will greatly benefit from seeing this film on its national telecasts, learning from Kansas City’s experience as they watch how complex aesthetic decisions are made and how the actual construction progresses. They may be able to view their own communities with this new perspective – as a challenge to and an opportunity for citizens of all major urban centers nationally, and even worldwide, to equal Kansas City’s spirit and accomplishments.
