“This email is simply to applaud and thank everyone involved, not only with the making of this documentary, but also with the rebirth of downtown KC. Although I do not currently live in KC, I do consider it home. I have followed the development of downtown through the recent years with much excitement and anticipation. After browsing through your website regarding the making of this documentary, I found myself proud of KC. It is truly going through a rebirth.
In the near future I will be returning to KC to live. I want my children to be apart of downtown, not the suburbs. I want them to experience the cultural amenities only available in the urban core.
Once again, I thank all of those involved with KC's rebirth. Keep up the excellent work and continue to strive for only the best.”

“In the Urban Living special of the August 4 KC Star, there is an interesting article about an upcoming KC documentary. Produced by Inland Seas Production, it is called "Mending the Heart of an American City" and will chronicle much of the construction and restoration currently in progress. It is due to come out some time after the projects have been completed and may be shown on channels like Discovery, A&E, etc. This could be quite a nice promo piece for KC.”

“What happens when downtowns come back is what I refer to as the upward spiral of value creation taking place. Basically, more is better. More people on the streets, more restaurants, offices and living … and these come together and spiral upward. It’s all about making a special place.”
